Sorry. It's from a series of books by CS Lewis, The Chronicles of Narnia. Aslan is a lion (it actually MEANS lion in Turkish) that's basically a Jesus allegory and sacrifices himself on the Stone Table to break the hold of winter on the land.

He comes back to life the next morning. Because Jesus allegory.
