[He wasn't going to chime in because he didn't want to have to explain space and planets to anyone unless it's actually important, mostly because he hates having to explain anything to anyone who doesn't have at least a little familiarity with a concept.]
[But an opportunity to zip in and dropkick the idea that humans are at the center of the universe? When he's already had to field uncomfortable comments from Jorgmund abut how *~exotique~* he is?]
Everyone is "from" space. All planets exist in space. Like Saturday said, that means humans are also all from space and you're the aliens to sentients from other worlds.
Also, dirt is dirt, "earth" on the other hand is a word usually particular to the planet Earth to describe soil, presumably named as such after the planet due to the soil being drawn from it, or vice versa. My native language has a different word for soil, and some worlds pick names for soil similar etymologically to "soil," in that they have no basis on the name of the planet.
We didn't name dirt on Colu "Colu" after Colu, nor did we name dirt "Colu" first and then name the planet after it, of all the stupid -
[No, don't make fun of their entymology. Robbie might find it rude.]
