Hey, there. For those I haven't met, I'm North, and I have a companion AI on board. His name is Theta, and he wanted to get on the network and ask a question. I told him I'd let him have most of the air time, so...

[ He gestures in the air at the hologram that's hovering near his shoulder. ]

Hi, everyone. Uh...North and I saw a cat when we were out the other night—actually, we saw a few of them. And I kind of wondered if anyone has seen any dogs around. I really like dogs. But I didn't see any when we were out. I thought...maybe someone has one they keep as a pet?

I can't pet it, but I thought maybe if I pretended to play with it while North was playing with it, it'd kind of be the same thing. I hope so, anyway.

Sounds like you're pretty good at letting people know you wouldn't care for that, so you probably don't have anything to worry about.

Yeah, thanks Theta, that's the word I was looking for. You're sapient, so people ought to give you the right to decide whether you would want to be touched.

Yeah...it's been all right. I have a lot of trouble sleeping at night, but North always helps me with that.

Sure am. In my world, we're called laguz. Aside from the Beast Tribe, there are birds and dragons, and some wolves living way across the desert, too.

Yeah. It's uncomfortable not knowing what'll happen and it always kind of...freaks me out. Makes me think up a million things that could go wrong.

Man. I wish there was some way to get from here to where you come from. That sounds amazing.

Well, s'true we don't quite know what's gonna happen round here most of the time. But We also have lots a good people like your friend North who try and make sure folks stay safe. Ah think you're like that too, you seem like a helper ta me.

The dragons keep to themselves, mostly, but maybe that'll change with the leadership. The new king has made a lot of friends outside their borders.

Tellius is...well, a nice place when everyone calms down and stops fighting.

That's what Ah thought, it shows. You just keep helpin' others and you'd be surprised how much ya help yerself too.

Yeah...that's the kind of thing North says, too. Sometimes it's hard though. Like if the person is kind of mean.

Ya, known a few mean folks mahself. But that's when ya gotta be brave for others, cause if yer scared there'll be others scared too. And that's when ya gotta set that aside and be brave to help others.

[ She nodded seriously, she knew how terrifying things could be when they felt too big and out of your control. ]

That does seem like the rule and not the exception around here, doesn't it? It's a shame that none of our homes can get it together!
