How sure are you that these communications are secure?

[ Breq is not at all going to be taking her communications for granted. Not here. Not anywhere. Not from people who could steal her away from Nilt without so much as tripping any alarms. ]

I understand things have been a bit confused lately.

[ Understatement, to put it mildly. ]

These communications are relatively secure. No one outside of Jorgmund should be able to hear them.

[For better or worse.]

Of course they'd need to be able to hear what their employees are doing on company time.

If you're just sending messages freely without using the special filter that's just for us outsiders, then I wouldn't write anything you don't want the suits hearing.

This filter's secure. I tested it. Bragged about breaking into an executive's office and stealing their keys on here. When I didn't hear anything about it, I stole a suit's keys for real and bragged about it again. No punishment. They're not listening in.

[somebody had to jump on that grenade.]

[The communication switches to video mode because Bunny has work to do in the garden and this is how he knows to make it work paws-free.] They should strike you as incompetent buffoons at best and actively evil at worst. There's a whole bunch of middle ground from stupid to smart in there, but not a lot of careful.

[He punctuates these statements with almost angry digging in his limited plot of soil.]

Bunny is right about it being secure. If it helps any, some of the others have been through the code and agree on that point.
