[It's Greg on screen. He's got a guitar with him, idly tuning it as he talks.]
So, you all know I'm a superhero, and you all know I'm a singer. Lately though, I've been doin' too much of the former and not enough of the latter. There's been some, mostly for my own amusement and to keep in practice, but if I'm honest I've always liked havin' an audience. Wouldn't have the job back home I do if I didn't.
So, just for fun, I'd figured I'd open myself up to requests. Or just some conversation if you ain't feelin' it.
Keep in mind though, if you're the type who ain't a fan of country? Anything you request probably'll end up that way. Not 100% my fault, the invisible intangible Stuff band I've got backin' me defaults to it.

Was she sitting there with the screen propped up and literally her chin in her hands just eagerly waiting for sone crooning? Yes, she was. She was a sucker for certain things and this was one.
Re: Video
[Which Dolly Parton song is probably obvious, but true to his word Greg gives the lady what she wants and starts off with a slow, mournful male rendition of Patsy Cline's I Fall To Pieces. It's a bit of a mood whiplash when the song ends and a piano starts up as Greg launches into 9 to 5.
Rogue had asked for Dolly and Greg had some subtle commentary about their hosts he wanted to make.]

She sighed happily and applauded and whistled at the end, loud and raucous lest he wonder if his audience had really enjoyed the selection.
His own choice though caught her grinning and singing along with him.
"What a way ta make a livin'..."

[Greg's grinning right along with her. He hadn't planned on any impromptu duets when he'd decided to do this, but he's not going to complain about it.]

Oh, she was having entirely too much fun with this, her slightly raspy southern voice lending itself well to the song and singing in general. She would never do what he does, but she was a music lover at heart and this made her happy as a clam.

Woo! You ever consider a career in music yerself there, Rogue? You'd be pretty good at it.

"Ah'll leave the croonin' to the crooners, but ain't you just the sweetest thing for sayin it. S'wonder half the place ain' crushin' on you yet. Nothing like Southern charm."

Even if the man still doesn't get Clint Eastwood movies.

Remy's stance on Eastwood movies was up for debate though. But knowing Greg had a sweetie gave her a happy sigh, she was a hopeless romantic at heart.

I'll give it a shot, though. Lemme know what ya think.
[What comes out is a actually a fairly solid cover. A little softer than the original though, and Greg is definitely playing up the country more than a little bit.]

Now that takes talent.

Re: video
[Greg plays Free Bird. It's literally just Free Bird. There's not really any room to put his own personal spin on it, as Free Bird is basically a country song to begin with.]
Re: video
You already know you’re great, man.

[Well, that and hearing something familiar is a nice way to soothe the eternal feeling of homesickness she has nowadays -- even though there's no guarantee Greg knows who the Beatles are, in the first place.
When you're desperate you try to solve that desperation in any way you can]

But as funny as it'd be to that one, I've got a different song in mind.
[And Greg starts in on I've Just Seen A Face. Partly because it's genuinely a good song, but mostly because it proves his point. It's basically a bluegrass song already, just without the banjos. Which are sadly missing from Greg's cover as well.]

Wow. I can't argue with hard hitting evidence like this. I'm going to have to tell everyone about this at home once I'm back!
[Probably nobody other than Shelley will care, but to her? It's a bit of a revelation!]

[ He smiles, slightly. ]

[Not that Greg minds doing covers of other people's songs, but it's nice that someone's given him free rein to play one of his own. Although Greg's careful to pick one with a universal message.]
Let's see here...
There's no time to kill between the cradle and the grave,
Father Time still takes a toll on every minute that you save...

Thank you. Not many of my brotherhood are given to musical pursuits. [ Except the blood angels, who are actually good, and the Emperor's children who it's best not to mention at all ]
