Okay, so... I guess this is on now? Is that what the... damn it.

[Someone sounds Very Tired right now. She has had a really long week and it looks like it's getting longer as she speaks.] Is there anyone part of the Hargreeves family out there? [She pauses, apparently not quite understanding that she's still recording and people can't respond yet, before she heaves a sigh.] Yeah, I figured.

Is there anyone out there at all, or am I just talking to myself?

[Maybe she's officially snapped. Or maybe she died and this is hell. Either one tracks with the week she's had.]

Because I am talking to a block of plastic and I'm feeling pretty ridiculous right now.

Half-alien, half-human. Definitely people. I, I mean, I guess I used to have some issues about the being a real person thing, but that was a while back. Grew right out of it.

[ Hell yeah, real individual person rights. ]

[ Oh, thank goodness. He didn't want to explain any birds or bees. It didn't occur to him to be worried about it until he'd said it already.

Honestly, I'm kind of lost right now. Do you have a map or something I can use to find my way in here?

[ There is a pause. And after that brief pause, a little in-and-out volume-wise, as though he's actively turning the device over in his hands: ]

[ This is awful. How could he be so unprepared for the welcome wagon? ]

I just kept asking for directions until I learned my way around. But I can find you and give you a tour if you're up for it! Since the learning, you know, worked out eventually.

If it's no trouble, that would be helpful. [And she means the 'if it's no trouble'. She doesn't expect people to go out of their way to help her, though it seems like there are a lot of people eager to do just that around here.] I went exploring with Woody, but I still don't really know my way around.

Aw, it's no trouble at all. Breaks up the monotony a little! And the better you know what you're working with, the easier it'll be to get used to the routine.
