Okay, so... I guess this is on now? Is that what the... damn it.

[Someone sounds Very Tired right now. She has had a really long week and it looks like it's getting longer as she speaks.] Is there anyone part of the Hargreeves family out there? [She pauses, apparently not quite understanding that she's still recording and people can't respond yet, before she heaves a sigh.] Yeah, I figured.

Is there anyone out there at all, or am I just talking to myself?

[Maybe she's officially snapped. Or maybe she died and this is hell. Either one tracks with the week she's had.]

Because I am talking to a block of plastic and I'm feeling pretty ridiculous right now.

[ He is taking a bit of a risk guessing the person on the other end of the line is a young woman, but probably not too far to venture. ]

Vanya Hargreeves. Where are you from? Garviel isn't a name I'm familiar with.

[Like, maybe it's a really old-fashioned version of 'Gabriel'? But she is swiftly realizing that a lot of the people here are from very different times and places.]

Cthonia. More recently my base of operations has been Terra, however.

[ His whole planet siding with his traitorous gene-father tends to cause ruptures of that nature. ]

And you?

[She hasn't heard of either of these places, so she's guessing he's from another country or another world.]</small. I'm from America. New York. Where's Cthonia and Terra?

Nord Merica. New York. These names are familiar... they are, you might say, history to me. Terra is earth. I fighting in the Himalaysian mountains before I was brought here.

[ Another visitor from his past, or somewhere like it. ]

Oh. [There's muted surprise in her voice. This isn't the first person to be 'from the future' she knows, but she hadn't expected it here.]

Under siege by my gene-father. I would like to get back there so I can finish killing everyone he throws to break down the gates of the Palace.

[ And then of course his gene-father himself, but first things first. Still lots of Sons of Horus to murder between then and a second confrontation with his sire. ]

How is it doing in your time?

Well, my brother was saying that it was supposed to end the day I left, but I came here before I saw if he was right.

[To be honest, she thought her brother was talking nonsense because of trauma, but with everything else crazy that has happened the past week...]

I see. That is... unfortunate. In many ways. I do not like this place, and I don't expect you do either.
