007: AMAs, Third Round
So, we've got a load of new people, and that means it's time for me to do the only thing it feels like I get on these comms to do anymore: AMAs.
For you new people, I find it helps when we get together and explain a little bit about ourselves, any powers we have, and our skillsets. That way we know what we're starting with and what we can build off of. So, please, come and introduce yourselves and be willing to answer questions.

[video] Stacia
Hi everybody! My name is Stacia, and I turn into an eight-foot-plus bipedal monster that looks like a wolf and a nightmare had a baby. It's not contagious, please do not shoot or stab me. If you shoot or stab me, it will make me sad, and the Easter Bunny will kick your ass.
Yes, Bunny, I'm bragging that you think I'm adorable again.
Otherwise, uh, I'm a high school student from 2017, United States, planet Earth. I prefer guns to close combat, I like giving and getting hugs, aaaaand...nope, can't think of a third thing. Ask me anything!

[ After a moment’s consideration of teenagers. ]
I’m serious - I can cause earthquakes. No jump scares.
no subject
[Pause for laughter from everyone familiar with Stacia's auspice. Which is just Kenzie right now, but shh.]
Also, earthquakes are one hell of a defense mechanism. You want me to come to you, or do you want to come to me?

They’re not bad.
[ His powers are his favourite thing in the world so he doesn’t sound very nonchalant. Hug Mother Earth, kids, it loves you. Just not this one. ]
And yeah, yeah. You’d never do something like that, because you’re a straight A student and you’re in 5H or whatever. Where are you?
no subject
[Mother Earth wants Stacia to fight the very concept of entropy for her, don't even get her started on that topic.]
I'm pretty sure the 5H thing is for places where people encounter cows before they become meat and cool leather jackets. And I'm in the lounge near the bunks. The one where the cushions don't feel like they've been laminated.
Network >>> Action
Like I know what it is. I just skipped to the leather jacket.
>>> Action
[ Ric walks into the lounge in question about five minutes later, looking tense. When someone tells him they have a monster form, he believes them. And he’s seen some fucking intense monsters, although Rahne Sinclair’s wolf form isn’t as bad as she thinks it is. He expects Stacia’s is similar, but that doesn’t mean he’s looking forward to her ambushing him, if she goes that route.
This is strictly so he knows what to expect in the future. ]
Re: Network >>> Action

[When Ric arrives on location, Stacia is curled up all cute and comfy and non-threatening on the couch. She looks up when he enters the room and raises her eyebrows.]
I thought I was pretty clear when I said I wouldn't sneak up on you. Just because I'm a giant wolf monster sometimes doesn't mean that I don't have self-preservation instincts. And it's very hard to maul an earthquake.
Action
He shrugs, and the corner of his mouth twitches upward. ]
Mm, I remember something like that. I get along with sometimes giant wolf monsters. I just give teenagers with powers space.
[ A lot of the mutant kids he grew up with were twitchy with good reason. ]
And I don’t want to cause an indoor earthquake any more than you want to be caught in one.
Re: Action
[There are a few dead Jorgmund employees from Stacia's "interview" process that would say that she doesn't have full control over her powers. But they put a shock collar inside of her before she did anything to them, so she doesn't feel bad about turning them into empty meat and puddles of blood. They started it.]
That's probably for the best. We're a wild and rascally bunch.
[Stacia tosses her comm onto the cushions beside her and then climbs over the back of the couch so that it's between her and Ric, as though that's completely reasonable behavior. She turns her back and starts stripping out of her jumpsuit while speaking over her shoulder.]
Feel free to hang out by the door. I generally like to leave people with an unimpeded exit when I demonstrate this for the first time. No one's needed to flee the room screaming and peeing, but I think knowing that the option is there probably helps.

...How old are you, exactly?
no subject
Seventeen. If it helps, no one here has tried to stab or shoot me so far. I just want to keep that streak going.
no subject
[ Just... checking. ]
no subject
Seventeen-year-old humans, or seventeen-year-old werewolves? Because those answers are "hell no" and "unfortunately yes", respectively. It's deeply unfortunate, but better than being dead.
no subject
[ "Deeply unfortunate, but better than being dead" is much of Carolina's life too. ]
You can leave the close quarters to one of us, alright?
[ This is how you properly express adult concern at a werewolf teenager, probably. ]
no subject
Deal, but I still need to work in it in training. It'll be fun, how often to you get to fight something out of a horror movie?
no subject
[ Training is serious business okay.
It also is kind of fun sometimes, but sshh. ]
no subject
[And then she locks it down and drops the perky act.]
Trust me, nobody's ecstatic about it, kids included. The [finger-quotes] grown ups have been keeping an eye out for us, though frankly most of us would appreciate if they remembered that the kids who are here are reasonably competent in our respective fields, even if said respective fields are troublingly inappropriate for our ages. Wheeeeee, trauma!
