007: AMAs, Third Round

So, we've got a load of new people, and that means it's time for me to do the only thing it feels like I get on these comms to do anymore: AMAs.

For you new people, I find it helps when we get together and explain a little bit about ourselves, any powers we have, and our skillsets. That way we know what we're starting with and what we can build off of. So, please, come and introduce yourselves and be willing to answer questions.

What's Alderaan like?

[alderaani]

Imagine the most lovely word of snow-topped mountain peaks, wide calm lakes, and seas of perfect blue. Alderaan focused on education, art, science, beauty over war. Literal cities carved from crystal resin.

I've never been anywhere that compared to it.

[ Careful wording to avoid the admission that still hurt to talk about. That beautiful world was gone now. ]

That sounds incredible.

[ And she means it. ]

Does it have other princesses? Or are you the only one? Because Etheria has lots.

[alderaani]

There is a long history of the many noble houses of Alderaan, but my own. House Organa, has been the democratically elected house for leadership for several generations. My father married his house to my mothers to further secure the strength of House Organa. And because he was absurdly in love with her. But I am the only Princess of Alderaan.

[ She could face down Tarkin and Vader, she can keep her voice level and even now. ]

[ Adora has no idea she's pushing a big red button. ]

Guess it's just a difference between planets, then.

[alderaani]

It could be, I do know of other places with many royal families, and others with none at all. Some with caste systems and others that are intelligent insectoid colonies.

[princesspower]

I've never been off of Etheria before now, but... I'd love to see more of the universe, when I get a chance.

[alderaani]

It's the best way to really understand things you can't if you only have one world that you know. It changed me completely with my first visit off world.

[princesspower]

I guess I'm technically off-world now... but I'd like to do it on my own.

[alderaani]

I don't think this exactly counts, not in the way we were discussing. But you should when you are able. It's a very good experience and helps you understand others better. It's good for a ruler or representative to understand more points of view.

Yeah, definitely. Although I'm not really the ruler. That'd be more Glimmer... if she were here.

[alderaani]

Ten you'd been even more of an asset to Glimmer with the additional knowledge. It's never a bad thing.

Definitely not. I just... hope I can get back to her someday.

[alderaani]

That is a goal worth fighting for.

[ Her words are chosen with intention, judging her reaction. ]

Definitely. Although right now it's mostly Jorgmund that's stopping me...

I think a few of us share that feeling, we should get together and discuss it.
