007: AMAs, Third Round

So, we've got a load of new people, and that means it's time for me to do the only thing it feels like I get on these comms to do anymore: AMAs.

For you new people, I find it helps when we get together and explain a little bit about ourselves, any powers we have, and our skillsets. That way we know what we're starting with and what we can build off of. So, please, come and introduce yourselves and be willing to answer questions.

that was the senate you mentioned, right? you dont sound like a fan of the new arrangement.

we dont really have governments where im from, just corps, but i have met one other empire traveling. most of the people in it were okay but the people running it were not nice.

Yes, it had been a representative body of sentients who would vote on issues with trade and health and whatever other issues arose. It was meant to be a way to keep a peaceful democracy in place.

The new regime is controlling, xenophobic, and dangerous.

those sound like pretty good reasons to be unhappy. what have they done, exactly?

Destroyed an entire planet and everyone on it to make a statement about their power. Aside from that, there is the usual corruption, slavery, killings that you expect from tyrants.

you should also be on the look out for eldritch beings from outside reality tempting the leadership with vision of godhood. they can be a problem. unless you don't have magic in your world? then you probably don't need to worry.

they do sound as bad as the empire i ran into, though.

I..don't know that word. But it wouldn't surprise me if there were other beings outside reality helping them.

And it's not magic exactly, it is a sort of energy wielded by light and dark intentions. It is very powerful.

watch out for people living longer then they should, surviving things they shouldn't have without anything like a scratch on them for no particular good reason.

and bugs. their harbingers are insect themed.

i think all magic is a kind of energy? at least thats what i remember from school. im not sure what you mean by intentions though.

That...is hard to quantify. Different species live to different spans. And there are some force users rumored to have extended life spans due to their connection to it. I am far from an expert on it, all I know really are stories.

oh, if you guys do spacetravel, you probably dont have to worry. magic cant exist in space, not enough life energy, so the bugs and their masters cant get through.

force users sound kinda familiar. i think there were a couple of other people around who said something about it? i didnt get to know them really well.

Yes, space travel has been a common thing in my galaxy for thousands of years. And it's comforting to think that it might be an impediment to at least one thing.

Force users, here? On this train? Do you remember anything about them?

there was a girl, named rey. she was cool. came from the desert, didnt know how to eat an orange, liked machines. and some guy, never got his name, we just crossed paths on the battlefield. big dude, kinda pissy, good at fighting.

they werent here that long, sorry.

I can't say I recognize either of those, not that there were a lot of Jedi by the time I was old enough to know the ones who were left.
