006: Group Introductions and AMAs - Second Round

[Armstrong hates to do this after so many people have introduced themselves in locked channels, but they at least need to put on a show of meeting for Jorgmund's sake.]

So, we've got a few new people here since the last time we did something like this. Time to get introductions done and over with. Just list your name, powers, if any, relevant facts, and, if you feel like it, answer reasonable questions that people have. We'll be able to function together more effectively if we know more about each other. Keep it sensible and try not to wheedle out any dark secrets.

Or, you know, old people can tell people why Taco Tuesday is the best.

[the video is several seconds of Bunny deadpan staring into his communicator while showing the various small-yield fruit and veg crops he's cultivated in the limited space Jorgmund has allowed him, with the larger fields of staples: sweet potatoes, regular potatoes, and Three Sisters corn-beans-squash in the background. There are avocado trees in the distance, and many purple heads of cabbage.

His small corner is mostly berry shrubs, but there is a small patch of sugarcane, a few edible flower patches, and a whole dwarf coconut palm, cacao tree, and a banana tree that's recently been cut down. A full bunch of green bananas is lying on the ground beside a bonsai apple.]

[His eyebrows arch up at the display. It's a lot greener than his standard diet when Brand isn't shoving healthy food down his throat, but he can adjust his standards given the situation.]

Is it better than those protein bars they gave us on the ride back from the mission?

I'm not sure. For some reason I can't get the darn protein bar bush to take root.

I thought bunnies were supposed to be all cute and sweet. You're kind of throwing me for a loop here.

[The nice way of saying "you're kind of an asshole, huh?" He's very matter-of-fact in saying it. Rune admittedly isn't an expert on major figures of human holidays, but this isn't what he really imagined of a guy introducing himself as the Easter Bunny.]

If regular rabbits could talk some of em would probably surprise you too. But they can't, so they won't.

[and the ones who could talk and were 100% sweet are all dead and relearning that is still too raw and gaping a wound to get any closer to. Especially not with a stranger. Especially not where Jorgmund can see.]

I got one for you. Peanut butter or caramel?

Caramel, if I had to pick one over the other. Why?

Cause I got limited resources for making candy and don't want any of em to go to waste on giving someone something they like less. Or not at all.

Opinions on dark versus milk chocolate?

The kids get priority but I'm not gonna leave you adults high and dry forever.

[He's a little touched. He's trying not to look it, because this is still an godawful situation overall and everything in him in screaming to keep his guard up. But maybe because of that, the tiny hint of consideration just hits a little harder.

Or maybe he's just a sap. Who knows.]
