006: Group Introductions and AMAs - Second Round

[Armstrong hates to do this after so many people have introduced themselves in locked channels, but they at least need to put on a show of meeting for Jorgmund's sake.]

So, we've got a few new people here since the last time we did something like this. Time to get introductions done and over with. Just list your name, powers, if any, relevant facts, and, if you feel like it, answer reasonable questions that people have. We'll be able to function together more effectively if we know more about each other. Keep it sensible and try not to wheedle out any dark secrets.

Or, you know, old people can tell people why Taco Tuesday is the best.

We really oughta rebrand on the name, honestly. "Monster hunter" is offputting to folks.

Yeah? Back home we can usually tell who's the danger by the body count. What do you do?

Body count, destruction, threats all seem reasonable. Mah problem is folks like ta shoot first and ask questions nevah. They hear yer a mutant an some of 'em just want ya dead. Good an bad don't even come into it.

That's terrible. [Dan sounds genuinely saddened by that. He knows there are attitudes like that in his world, particularly among those who like to project their personal losses at the hands of monsters onto the world, but it isn't a whole societal thing - probably because most of society doesn't know what goes on in the Weird.]

I'd say shooting first without being sure what the soul you're shooting at is is always bad...but I don't believe I got your name, hon.

Sorry, name's Rogue, back home ah'm part of... well it's more than a team we're like a family we built together. We try an help people, mutants, humans, aliens, whoever needs it.

Ain't say that there ain't some bad mutants, Ah was one once. But by an large most of 'em are just scared an lost and dealin with somethin one their own that no one should have to. So kinda always makes me wonder how people mean it when they say hunter.

In my experience most people, no matter what they are, are scared and lost and dealing with shit no one should have to. It's only a problem when they take it out on others and can't be brought to their senses. I'd always rather talk than shoot.
