[Nora's holding her comm like she's grabbing someone's lapels, and the resulting angle is weird, but it doesn't hide that she's looking a bit. Intense at the moment.]
Where can I get a bunch of Lightning Dus--uh, electricity in a hurry? It's important.

[RWBY physics]
Re: video;
I'm sorry, but whoever told you that was telling you lies. Electricity is energy. It's like the same thing that makes it so you can move, or think, but it's made by power plants instead of your body.

Electricity comes from Lightning Dust, which is refined from raw Dust to make it safe to handle. I don't know where they get it here, but where I'm from, there are big deposits of it near the north pole.
[She's actually completely right...if she were at home.]

Maybe it's just the different physics between worlds, then.
[ Also, completely right, even though he's just trying to get this to not become a "nuh-uh!" "yes-huh!" kind of argument. ]
Where I'm from, and here as well, I think, electricity is made by getting potential energy to turn into kinetic energy in power plants. Then it runs through wires.

Okay, so how do you get electricity in this weird universe, then?

[Duh?]
But I guess that explains all those cords lying around. Big tripping hazard, if you ask me.
no subject
Just don't put anything besides a cord in the wall.

Ughhhhh.

You sound disappointed.

[She doesn't need a dad! She needs an electrical main to grab!]

[ North scratches his cheek and lets out a sharp exhale. ]
I certainly don't mean to be. It's just you seem to be unclear on the way it works and the danger if you were to interact with it.

[BEAST MODE, that's what.]

You... thought we were tying things to the wall?

mana poolAura that makes their powers work.]This place is weird, why wouldn't they tie things to the wall?
[So that's a "yes," then.]
no subject
Because it’s not an RV?

[Robbie she didn't know what an electrical cord was, come on.]

Oh, it's a recreational vehicle. R. V. Basically, it's like a living quarters on wheels that you can drive around to go places.

[They literally walked across a continent because the main character is real dumb.]

[This is not an entirely unheard of experience for Nora.]

[ He doesn't want to make her feel bad about it by continuing to try and fail at explaining. ]

Wait, you have a whole plane?
Re: Encrypted
Yep. I built it myself. Just needed an old bottle, a glove, some leather strips...you'd be surprised what some people around here just throw away.
no subject
Or something?

[that's her whole job Garv duh]
But one of the new guys, Rune, made me realize if stuff like your gene-thingies aren't working right, my Semblance might not be, either. So I need to test it.
no subject
Good idea. Just try to test it in a way that won't prove fatal should it.... go awry.
no subject
I'll be careful.
[No she won't, Ren's not here and he's 85% of her impulse control.]
no subject
[ Mostly so he can get you to medbay immediately should things go wrong. ]
no subject
Sure! If it works I can throw you across the room!
[Just some good clean fun!]
