001: Group Introductions - TEXT

[During a lull in the party, Armstrong taps out a quick message to the network. Not that private one, he doesn't trust it. They can answer whenever they like, so long as he gets an answer. The trick would be wording it.]

So, we're all in this for now. You've had your welcome cake, but you can't meet everyone in a party, no matter how hard you try. But, since we've all been encouraged to sign up with Jorgmund, I figured now would be a good time to get some introductions done. Talk about any specialties we might have.

Share information that we feel comfortable sharing. This isn't to pressure anyone or to force out any dark secrets.

[Not where watchful eyes can see, at least.]

Besides, I prefer doing this to making a cute information sharing game.

So, please, make your own threads within this post to keep everything organized.

Huh. Is there a Dark side? That would be familiar.

But it might be kind of a long shot, nobody else has known what I mean by Light so far. A while back, humanity made... I'm not sure if friends is the term, but we got hand picked by this magic sky sphere to start handing out superpowers like candy to people it brought back from the dead.

Kinda hard to miss if you got it, historically.

If you need more detail about how that works, unfortunately I'm not your guy. Got a friend who's real smart at all the paracausal stuff, could talk circles around me all day, but I'm just a Hunter. I shoot things and look pretty.

There is a Dark side, but that doesn't really sound like the Force where I'm coming from. Less... magic sky sphere and more of an invisible energy that has always existed and connects everything. Some people are just more sensitive to it and can feel it. Others can't.

Oh, that's not our thing then. Unless our thing is even more complicated than I already thought which, hey, you know what? I'm not ruling that out. Gonna stick a pin in that to bug Ikora about it if I ever see her again.

[ ...He is pretty sure he won't, but if he just barrels through that particular sad thought without losing any momentum it'll be alright. ]

If everything's connected does that mean everything everything? People? Stuff? Potentially security systems?

No. Just living and cosmic.
Although sometimes I get really strong feelings from it? That's happened a couple times when interfacing with tech for... various reasons.

[ She's trying not to be like when I was trying to hijack ship controls or bypass sensors because. You know. It seems a little shady but hopefully Cayde gets the point. ]

I don't know if that will still happen here. Everything is kind of fuzzy-ish.

[ Cayde makes a note of that evasion, especially considering the ask under that joke he made was not totally without intent. Somewhere else on the rig, the plates under the Exos eyes shift, his expression slightly more mischievous. Scavenger with some kind of weird magic powers and maybe a sneaky edge? He likes her already. ]

Well hey, it's a good thing to know is there to keep an eye out for. Anything might be useful in... whatever it is we're gonna get up to.

[ You know in their totally legitimate corpo jobs and not doing anything sneaky our underhanded at all, whatsoever. ]

I just have to rely on my Hunter's intuition, and by that I mostly mean being damn old.
