[During a lull in the party, Armstrong taps out a quick message to the network. Not that private one, he doesn't trust it. They can answer whenever they like, so long as he gets an answer. The trick would be wording it.]

So, we're all in this for now. You've had your welcome cake, but you can't meet everyone in a party, no matter how hard you try. But, since we've all been encouraged to sign up with Jorgmund, I figured now would be a good time to get some introductions done. Talk about any specialties we might have.

Share information that we feel comfortable sharing. This isn't to pressure anyone or to force out any dark secrets.

Maybe you've noticed, none of them have claws, and they're all pretty slow. Dunno about you but I don't intend to get soft just because I'm stuck here.

[is he really doing this? Is he really going to get himself in regular sparring matches with a cat person? They're hyper efficient predators and he's already got enough to be anxious about. But she is a prickly child and if he can keep an eye on her AND get the challenge of a predator opponent in, those are both good things in the long term.]

[ The idea makes sense. And Catra should probably do what she can to keep in shape, if only because she plans to get out of here eventually. Honestly, the fact that people come in all shapes, sizes, and so forth with tails, fur, scales, and whatever doesn't bother Catra--that's normal. It's just weird to have so many people find it strange. ]

Where I'm from, humans are the only mortals sentient in the way we are.

[there are certainly some spirits who take nonhuman form, and a few primates, cetaceans, and birds that qualify, but humans are the only mortals he can usually have a conversation with.]

What's it like in a world where that's not the case? Does one species outnumber the others and treat them worse?
