001: Group Introductions - TEXT

[During a lull in the party, Armstrong taps out a quick message to the network. Not that private one, he doesn't trust it. They can answer whenever they like, so long as he gets an answer. The trick would be wording it.]

So, we're all in this for now. You've had your welcome cake, but you can't meet everyone in a party, no matter how hard you try. But, since we've all been encouraged to sign up with Jorgmund, I figured now would be a good time to get some introductions done. Talk about any specialties we might have.

Share information that we feel comfortable sharing. This isn't to pressure anyone or to force out any dark secrets.

[Not where watchful eyes can see, at least.]

Besides, I prefer doing this to making a cute information sharing game.

So, please, make your own threads within this post to keep everything organized.

- I've got experience with practical applications of multiple scientific disciplines ranging from some physics to mechanical engineering. But my specialties are in biophysics and biochemistry.

And when I say they're my specialties I mean I'm freakishly good at them. If certain extracurriculars hadn't gotten in the way I'd

Well I'd be in a very different place in the scientific community than I am right now.

[It's an area where he's not quite as humble as he is anywhere else, but it's a well earned lack of humility. You don't accomplish wild feats of chemistry at 16 if you're not gifted. But being Spider-Man has consistently tanked any potential career he could've had.]

- Lots of experience with espionage, infiltration of buildings, and sneaky stuff. I'm not getting into the full extent of that on a public post.

- Lots of combat experience. Hand to hand, I'm not a fan of weapons. My enemies are, though, so that's always fun.

- I've never tried my hand at big battlefield tactics but I'm pretty good at getting control of the playing field in a smaller fight.

- Little bit of computer savvy.

Also I can lift two tons (it's usually more but something happened to my powers here), stick to walls, heal super fast, move like a Olympic level gymnast, and let's just say I've got good instincts when it comes to picking up on danger.

I'm leaving it at that. If anything comes up in the field, I'll tell people if I can do it.

[ Technically, Robbie knows more than one wall-climber, but at least one climber isn’t tech savvy at all, so the list narrows. ]

You come from a real friendly neighborhood?

[Peter narrows his eyes where he's sitting in his room, stuffed full of bad cake.]

Nope, super rough. I got mugged for my pogs once as a kid.

[ Robbie doesn't look too fussed about this response. It is, after all, exactly what he would expect Spider-Man to say. ]

You could've just said no, but that would've been boring. That pogs reference just called to you, didn't it? The sentence wouldn't have been complete without it.

[Peter squints.]

Don't you analyze my quipping, you little so and so.

[But there's absolutely no anger in the way he says it.]

Enh, more of a critique from somebody who’s almost got the authority to critique you.

[ Robbie flashes a grin, and shrugs. ]

Relax, mister, I’m not sitting on your stoop or nothing.

Possibly but our choice of scientists may not be much of a choice. I don't know about you but I don't exactly want Jorgmund's people poking around my DNA.

Wolfgirl chiming in to say that mine's not genetic. They're not going to find anything in my DNA you wouldn't find in a girl who can't turn into a wolfmonster.

I think I'm in the same boat with the strength issue.

i'm slower than I should be, especially when i'm pushing it. i don't even know what they'd figure out about me cause the whole vampire thing is magic or something and my body's just dead so like. unless they got vampirologists here, which i don't even think is a thing...

i guess i do know one but he is mostly kind of a history nerd.

[ a beat. ]

i say that in a not mean way, nerds are pretty dope actually.

So you're a science ninja. I'm not sure why you're embarrassed about it. It's not like you're the only ninja here.

So long as you're not from the Hidden Sound or an Uchiha, I don't think we're going to have many issues here. After all, we're all allies now, right?

Not even close to a ninja, they're a little more REET REET REET [horror movie violins] with the stabbing.

It's less 'ashamed of what I am' shifty, a lot more 'boy, my enemies showing up here and finding out more about me would absolutely be my luck' shifty.
