[During a lull in the party, Armstrong taps out a quick message to the network. Not that private one, he doesn't trust it. They can answer whenever they like, so long as he gets an answer. The trick would be wording it.]

So, we're all in this for now. You've had your welcome cake, but you can't meet everyone in a party, no matter how hard you try. But, since we've all been encouraged to sign up with Jorgmund, I figured now would be a good time to get some introductions done. Talk about any specialties we might have.

Share information that we feel comfortable sharing. This isn't to pressure anyone or to force out any dark secrets.

[Not where watchful eyes can see, at least.]

Besides, I prefer doing this to making a cute information sharing game.

Hello, everyone. I'm Sylvain Jose Gautier, hailing from the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, which I am getting the impression will mean approximately nothing to nobody, but hey, if there's anybody here from home, give me a shout out. I'm a knight, trained for cavalry combat with a focus on lances and fire magic, but I can do spot-healing and I can handle a few other weapons or fighting on foot, just not quite as well.

And while I haven't fully inherited my title yet, I have taken over diplomacy and negotiations from my father on our somewhat hostile border since the war started - there's a war going on back home, by the way - so while I'll gladly defer to anyone with more experience if we need...something of that nature, I can be a spokesperson in political situations if I have to. If there's really nobody better. Which, I mean, someone should at least explain this "guns" thing to me before we resort to that, because I get the feeling I'm rather far behind here on the technology, and that's not a good place to do the talking from.

[ A weird-looking stranger dives right on in. Despite being made of metal, his face is pretty expressive and the way the plates around his eyes have shifted is helping to convey a grin. ]

Guns are pretty simple! You point 'em at things, press the trigger, there's a loud banging noise, and if you did it right you put a big hole in what you're aiming at.

Or disintegrated it. Or lit it on fire. Or threw a gravity grenade in there. Actually, there's a lotta things guns do that isn't hole making... [ He waves a hand as if he's clearing all those extra ideas aside. ] But! Point is: Shoot, bang, dead.

That's the march of technology for ya, kid. Don't get me wrong, there's skill involved, but the basics are, well. Basic.
