001: Group Introductions - TEXT

[During a lull in the party, Armstrong taps out a quick message to the network. Not that private one, he doesn't trust it. They can answer whenever they like, so long as he gets an answer. The trick would be wording it.]

So, we're all in this for now. You've had your welcome cake, but you can't meet everyone in a party, no matter how hard you try. But, since we've all been encouraged to sign up with Jorgmund, I figured now would be a good time to get some introductions done. Talk about any specialties we might have.

Share information that we feel comfortable sharing. This isn't to pressure anyone or to force out any dark secrets.

[Not where watchful eyes can see, at least.]

Besides, I prefer doing this to making a cute information sharing game.

So, please, make your own threads within this post to keep everything organized.

[An inventor...that's a mouse, but that's something to try to ignore. Still, even though this is going to be a long shot, he can't leave aside anything that seems unlikely:]

Are you familiar with any inventions that may have been used to bring us here?

[Not that he has any idea what could have been used, all he's theorizing right now is that some sort of technology must have been involved]

The closest thing I can think of is the Modemizer. Professor Nimnul used it to teleport through telephone lines. I suppose he theoretically could have built something to do this, but it's a little outside his usual modus operandi and scale. Primarily, he just sticks to stealing stuff.

[He'd committed kidnappings before, of course, but it had never been humans he'd taken. Him being behind this felt unlikely]

Also, if it was him, I wouldn't be the only Rescue Ranger here. We've stopped him enough times that he'd want all of us out of the way.

[Teleport through telephone lines...could that be similar to how they were brought here?

No, probably not. Not unless telephone lines cross entire dimensions and worlds. But perhaps the principle is the same...?]

In that case, the people here in Jorgmund may be using similar technology. Copying him for their own plans.

[Is this Professor Nimnul another mouse, Dojima wonders internally because he sure wouldn't want to ask that aloud, hah]
